This course will be an introduction to computer applications in nursing and health care. They will develop computer literacy skills in the area of information processing, computer technology, steps for developing an information system and issues related to privacy and confidentiality. Students are expected to share their findings with class members in presentation format. Computer laboratory experience will include an investigation of computer applications within nursing, focusing specifically on their use in nursing administration, research, clinical practice and education.
