This course will cover a range of techniques used to develop the musical theatre voice. Areas this course will include are breathing techniques and appropriate vocal exercises to increase range, enhance color, and enrich the beauty of the voice. Musical theatre repertoire will be used to explore aspects of the interaction of the vocal, physical, and mental aspects of performing in musicals. An emphasis will be placed on healthy and connected singing as well as performance techniques for musical theatre. Lab fee.
