Experiments involving: quantum properties of atoms and molecules; electrical properties of atoms and molecules; rotational, vibrational, and electronic spectroscopy; statistical-mechanical analysis of the thermodynamic and phase change properties of atoms and molecules; and the physical chemistry of macromolecules. Formal journal-style reporting required. Four hours laboratory per week. Lab fee. Alternate years.
