A semester long (420 clock hour) field experience in a social service agency, as well as a weekly classroom component that has the purpose to assist students to integrate the knowledge and skills learned in the curriculum of the major with the field experience. Students apply generalist social work knowledge, values, and skills in direct practice with individuals, groups, communities and organizations under the supervision of an agency based social work field instructor. Weekly written assignments, a journal, supervisory sessions and field instruction meetings with fellow students are included in this course. Credits: 12
