Prerequisite: CHEM - 113 with grade of C (2.0) or higher. Corequisite: CHEM - 232. First semester of a two-semester course. This course introduces students to the fundamental concepts necessary for understanding organic molecules. These include nomenclature, conformational analysis, stereochemistry, radical and nucleophilic reactions, and spectroscopy. Strongly recommended for pre-medical students. Offered every Fall.
