Meets once per week: prepare a written research proposal for work to be carried out in MATH 496W; ongoing written and oral progress reports and regular consultation with the faculty supervisor. Prerequisites: MATH 445 (can be taken concurrently) and consent of the instructor. (fall semester, every year)
