(3 Hrs) This course is designed to acquaint students with interpersonal violence and its impact on individual, small group and community functioning. Types of violence which will be examined are: domestic violence, violence against children, dating violence, violence based on perceived differences (e.g., racial, cultural, sexual preference), and school violence. This course will provide an overview on conceptual models of violence, risk and lethality assessment, and trauma effects of victimization. Discussion will also focus on critical analysis of models of intervention and violence prevention. Spring
