(2 Hrs) Application of community health and nursing theoretical concepts in the care of individuals, groups, aggregates, and communities through primary, secondary and tertiary therapeutic nursing interventions. Focuses on critical thinking, effective communication among health team members, identification of high-risk populations, systematic health-status assessment, resource utilization, the impact of research, and the professional role of the nurse in the community. Teaching plans are extended to include aggregates, groups and communities. Clinical sites include community agencies in Fort Wayne/surrounding areas.
