(4 Hrs) This course is a continuation of SURG 261 Surgical Procedures I, with an emphasis on orthopedics, neurosurgery, cardiovascular, thoracic, reconstructive, and trauma procedures. Clinical decision-making is discussed in relation to the supplies, equipment, instrumentation, and sequence of the procedure. Students investigate diagnostics, pathology and expected patient outcomes as related to perioperative patient care. The special needs pediatric and geriatric surgical patients are also incorporated. (Theory 4 hours) Spring Prerequisite: SURG 261 Corequisites: SURG 285; SURG 290
