(1 Hr) This course applies the nursing process as a critical thinking framework to provide psychiatric and/or mental health care throughout the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on the development of therapeutic nurse-client relationships. Knowledge of psychiatric disorders, mental health theoretical frameworks, teaching/learning principles, and psychosocial needs are integrated in planning care.
