(2 Hrs) This course is designed to prepare nurses to assume an entry level role of a critical care nurse in the acute care setting. The student will be introduced to cardiac rhythm interpretation, invasive monitoring and hemodynamics, medical interventions/treatments, pharmacologic modalities, and nursing care in the Intensive Care Unit setting. The focus will be on the cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, endocrine, neurological, gastrointestinal, and hematological systems.
