Prerequisites: Completion of required. Precollege courses in writing and reading (ENL 131, UAS 104 and UAS 105), demonstrated competence in writing and reading, PYC 100 and SOC 100. Provides students with a basic understanding of a) the nature of current social work knowledge, skills and values b) the profession of social work, and c) the nature of social work practice in relation to the human condition and social environment. This course is designed to facilitate career choices. (3 Credits)
