Prerequisites: CST 101 A public speaking course involving examination of the major logical, psychological, sociological and cultural variables which underlie persuasion in contemporary society. The course focuses on the student as a creator and consumer of messages. Students study theories of persuasion and their application to messages designed to alter attitudes or behaviors relative to matters of economic, political and social significance. (3 Credits)
