Why are we profoundly moved by a particular performance we see Why are we perplexed Or bored Or disturbed To understand why we react as we do is to understand something fundamental about the nature of theatrical performance as we come to terms with our own values about art and life. This course will ask students to examine, to discuss, and to write about their reactions to the performances they see both on and off campus during the course of the semester.
