We add, "And what are philosophers for " The tradition of 20th-century Continental philosophy has responded, "Certainly not just to analyze language!" We shall follow some of the leading figures and themes of this rich tradition from its roots in Nietzsche through the transformations of phenomenology, to existentialism and beyond.
