This course will survey the religious philosophies and practices of Indian Ayurvedic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, and Tibetan medicine within their respective cultural contexts. A close reading of key religious, medical, anthropological, and historical texts will be complemented by consultation with contemporary practitioners in the field of Asian medicine.
