An introduction to the craft of screenwriting with a strong emphasis on story selection and development. Students will complete a full-length screenplay over the course of the semester. We will read and analyze scripts that have been made into films, and we will workshop student work through the semester. Writing experience recommended. For English majors, this course satisfies the requirement of an elective. This course can be counted toward fulfillment of requirements for the film studies minor. Not open to first-year students.
