What makes us laugh How does humor work This writing workshop will examine the rhetorical underpinnings of humor and satire and consider humor and satire as political and cultural commentary. Readings will include classic satirical essays by writers such as Jonathan Swift and Mark Twain as well as work by modern humorists.
