An introduction to the design and use of models and simulations in the quantitative description of physiological systems. These tools are especially useful for describing membrane biophysics, neural modeling, cardiovascular system dynamics, respiratory mechanics, and muscle contraction. This course is designed for upper-level students in engineering and the life sciences. Significant engineering and software design is incorporated in all homework assignments.
