Solid mechanics of deformable bodies, focusing on the internal effects of externally applied loads. Topics include elasticity theory, stress, strain and Young's modulus, axial, torsional, and shear stresses, Mohr's circle, analysis of beams, shafts, and columns subjected to axial, torsional, and combined loading.
