Jerusalem, her history, art, architecture, archaeology and literature will be examined in this multi-disciplinary team-taught course. Readings and discussions will be geared toward helping students understand the multifaceted meanings of Jerusalem for all the people it has touched over the millennia; Amorites, Canaanites, Egyptians, Jews, Muslims and Christians; inhabitants, conquerors, leaders, and visitors.
