A lecture and laboratory course covering the sources, reactions, transport, effects, and fates of chemical species in water, soil and air environmnets and the effects of population and technology on them. Laboratory experiments will analyze pollutants and elucidate fundamental chemical principles of thermodynamics and kinetics applicable to the envronment.
