This course provides an introduction to the study of the human body in health and disease. Through lecture and integrated laboratory, we will consider normal structure and function of select organ systems (including musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and reproductive systems), and how aging, injury, and disease states affect these systems. The lab includes anatomical dissections, microscopic observations of cells and tissues, and other exercises designed to illustrate basic principles of human anatomy and physiology.
