A survey of the native spring wildflowes, common trees and shrubs of the Great Lakes Region. Particular attention will be given to the use of taxonomic keys and filed guides in field identification as well as information on the general technology of each species. Weekly field trips to local and regional forest preserves, natural areas and a weekend field trip to Shouthern Illinois will be required. Lab included. Prerequisite: BIOL 1280.
