The course examines moral dimensions of life as they apply to the business and professional world. It introduces the student to the important problems and topics of business and professional ethics such as job discrimination, corporate responsibility, environmental obligations, power, accountability, social responsibility and professional codes of ethics. After exploring ethical theory such as virtue ethics, utilitarianism, deontology, and religious ethics, the student will be challenged to delve into the practical applications of these theories to 21st century business and professional life.
