3 Semester Hours This course provides an introduction to the practical and theoretical analysis of the performance of satellite communications. Topics in link design, satellite orbit dynamics, antenna gain and coverage, frequency and time division multiple access, component and subsystem nonlinearity, signal format, and error correction coding will be discussed. Prerequisites: ELEC 521 and 532.
