3 Semester Hours Field studies of the tropical marine habitats on Isla Roatán, Honduras. This includes the examination of physical, chemical, and ecological aspects as applied to coral reefs, mangroves, seagrass beds, and intertidal communities. Summer only-Study Abroad Program. Prerequisites: BIOL 101, 102; CHEM 110, 112. Open water SCUBA certifi cation highly recommended.
