4 Semester Hours The study of the methodology used by public accountants to obtain and evaluate evidence regarding assertions concerning fi nancial statements and internal controls over fi nancial reporting. Ethical and legal aspects of the auditing profession are examined with special reference to ramifi cations of the Sarbanes- Oxley Act. Accounting majors only, except by permission of instructor. Prerequisites: ACCT 312 with a minimum grade of C (2.0), 313, 314; ECON 230 or MATH 104.
