This course conducted in English is designed to provide information and help understand the people of French-speaking Africa, French West Indies, South-East Asia and Polynesian Islands. It consists in a study of colonial and post-colonial history, culture and society in these different parts of the world. Participation of native guest speakers with extensive use of audio-visual materials will richly enhance participation and discussion. Prerequisite: junior standing. (4,0) 4
