Creative leaders recognize and express dimensions of the world and society that are often overlooked by others. They are able to respond effectively to new challenges and opportunities in their personal lives and in society. Artists, performers and creators have an essential vocation that enriches the whole community. In this course, students will expand their appreciation for the importance of creativity. They will look how the arts provide a unique way to understand and interact with culture. They will study the arts in an African context. They will engage in creative activity or performance and reflect on these experiences. They will also explore ways in which they can be more creative in their lives and ministries. Through this course, therefore, students will develop and demonstrate their competence to define and analyze a creative process and to create an original work of art, explore its relationship to artistic form, and reflect on the creative process.
