Prerequisites: SOWK 161, SOSC 2851 MATH 105 (may be taken concurrently). Familiarizes the student with the quantitative and qualitative research methods, the research process, and the role of research in professional practice. Students develop a research proposal. Emphasis is placed on evaluation of all levels of practice. (3 hour lecture, 1 hour lab)
