A topical analysis of twentieth-century history, using the Korean War as a point of entry for the study of post-World War II global dynamics. The course will consider the antecedents and consequences of the war, but especially the meanings it held in the eyes of the different nations affected by the conflict and the policies and behavior they generated in response.
