F. This course explores how humans acquire movement skills. It includes an examination of the various characteristics of the learner, an attempt to develop specific theories of how motor skills are acquired, and a review of teaching strategies that are appropriate for teaching them. The focus is on the learner, the learning process, and methods of instruction and includes an evaluation of growth and the developmental factors influencing learning. The course gives opportunities for practical experience in applying motor learning principles.
