This course addresses the major ethical issues and practices in sport management, including the issues of justice and fairness as they relate to sport marketing, the rights and responsibilities of athlete, coach, and sports administrator, recruiting, resource allocation, and gender and racial equity in sport. Finally, the course will examine the inherent tensions between Christian faith and competition violence and consumerism in both amateur and professional sport. Prerequisite: PE 218 or permission of instructor. Not offered 2008-2009.
