Playwrights to be read may include, but are not limited to, Ibsen, Chekhov, Shaw, Pirandello, Brecht, Williams, Miller, O'Neill, Beckett, Pinter, Shaffer, Fugard, and Norman. Emphasis is placed on the significant movements in modern drama and questions of gender-based criticism.
