An intermediate treatment of heat transfer and thermodynamics including analysis and design related to steady and unsteady conduction with an emphasis on two and three dimensions, free and forced convection, radiation modes of heat transfer, power and refrigeration cycles, air conditioning processes, chemical equilibrium, and combustion. Laboratory, design, and computer exercises are utilized to emphasize principles. Prerequisite: Engineering 319.
