F. Application of principles of mechanics of solids and structural analysis to the design of structural members made of steel or reinforced concrete. Load and factored resistance design procedures are studied along with the current steel specification for the design, fabrication, and erection of structural steel for buildings and the building code requirements for reinforced concrete. Computer techniques are used as aids to analysis and design. Prerequisite: Engineering 181, Engineering 326.
