S. A study of beams, two-dimensional trusses, and rigid frames. Course work includes calculation of shear forces and bending moments due to fixed and moving loads, calculation of deflection, analysis of moving loads using influence lines, and the analysis of statically indeterminate structures. The course also includes an introduction to matrix methods in structural analysis. Prerequisite: Engineering 305.
