Unique Course This is an advanced course in design principles and desktop publishing procedures, techniques, and applications. Top-level desktop publishing/page layout programs will be explored through tutorials and hands-on exercises, with advanced program features being examined beyond the transitional level covered in the intermediate course. Students will demonstrate their learning through sophisticated and complex individual publishing projects they will develop. The course will also include a study of typography including type families and characteristics, and how to choose appropriate fonts for different styles of documents and projects. PreRequisite: MCOM-161 MCOM-261 3 semester hours
