Unique Course This course will cover the origin and occurrence of rocks and minerals. Topics include crystallography, crystal chemistry and physics, rock and mineral hand specimen identification, optical properties of minerals, and the classification of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rocks. Field trips to study various rock outcrops will be included. Additional Fee: An additional Mandatory Fee applies to this course. PreRequisite: CHEM-112 GEOL-201 4 semester hours
