3 hours This course focuses on professional nursing principles for the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for older adults. Contemporary health issues and concerns of this age group will be studied with emphasis on developmental changes, health promotion practices, impact of illness, spiritual dimensions, and cultural diversity. A multi-sectoral approach will be used to study socio-economics and the ethical and legal issues that affect adult health. Prerequisites: Completion of junior level RN-BS courses. Core Prerequisites: NU 414, NU450.
