2 hours An introduction to the biblical, theological, and historical foundations of Christian worship and the implications for black liturgical experience. With an emphasis on building skills for practice, the course explores selected liturgical elements, including the role of music and the centrality of the Word. Attention is given to the relationship between corporate worship and service. Students are required to complete observations in various worship settings. Prerequisites: RB 211 and RT 221.
