3 hours This course focuses on professional nursing principles for the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health for young, middle, and older adults. Contemporary health issues and concerns of these age groups will be studied with emphasis on developmental stages, health promotion practices, impact of illness, spiritual dimensions, and cultural diversity. A multi?sectoral approach will be used to study socio-economics and the ethical and legal issues that affect adult health. Prerequisites: 200 level nursing and cognate courses.Core Prerequisites: NU 330, NU 332, NU 333, NU 334.
