3 hours This course covers web publishing and web-based applications development, with emphasis in accessing remote database information. Web site design concepts and tools are introduced, including Active-HTML, CGI, SGML, VRML, and multimedia presentation. A survey of scripting languages for the web includes Perl, VBScript, Jscript, and JavaScript. The goal is to prepare students with skills for designing, creating, programming, publishing, and developing applications on the web. Prerequisite: junior standing.
