3 hours Students are introduced to the use of information systems and technology in organizations, including the manner in which these add value to organizational processes and products. Topics covered include concepts of decision-making, role of information systems, typology of systems, hardware and software, and management or organizational support systems. Student are expected to analyze cases, use computerized tools such as decision support features of Excel, HTML for Web pages and electronic commerce. Prerequisite: IT 120.
