Prerequisite, FIN 317. An examination of the practical operation of financial markets and the functions of the major players within the markets. The class will visit New York City for one week and tour the New York Stock Exchange, the New York Mercantile Exchange and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Interviews will be scheduled with a variety of firms including investment banks, money managers, mutual fund companies and financial information providers. (Offered every year.) 3 credits.
