Prerequisite, PSY 101. An introduction to the sensory nervous system and the perceptual basis of human experience. General topics include psychophysics, and the physiology of the sensory systems. Emphasis is placed on understanding the interaction between the anatomy of the sensory system and the transduction of sensory stimuli into meaningful perceptional experiences.
