Prerequisites, ART 230, 231, or consent of instructor. In this course students develop research skills, problem-solving, conceptualization of ideas and presentation techniques. Solutions to a variety of visual communication problems are studied using the fundamentals of design, symbols, illustration and photography. Students use graphic design software and learn systems for print and production. (Offered spring semester.) 3 credits.
