This course will focus on Renaissance Venice, paying particular attention to the geographic, social and political uniqueness of the fabled city built on water. All media will be taken under consideration - painting, sculpture and architecture - covering artists from Bellini to Titian, from Jacopo Sansovino to Andrea Palladio.
