Prerequisites, MUS 261, and consent of instructor. Provides basic understanding of the causes, symptoms, problems, and terminology used in diagnoses related to exceptionalities in human development, acute trauma, chronic conditions, terminal illness, health and wellness across the lifespan. Provides increased depth of understanding of the clinical foundations, functions, applications and processes of music therapy through case study discussions. (Offered spring semester.) 3 credits.
